    911S front bumper question

Hi guys, I've gotten some invaluable info. from this great site over the last 2.5 to 3 years
helping to get the details "just right" right restoring my cars. Question: For a 1969 911S...
Are they supposed to have the bumperettes on the front bumper? This white 911S doesn't
have them (a U.S. car). Did all 911S's NOT have the front bumperettes in 1969?
Seems like I have seen many of the cars WITH them.

All US delivered 911/912 cars had front bumperettes...DOT mandate. S cars had standard "appearance group" which translates to rubber bumperette pads. Standard bumperettes on 911Ts and 912s were chrome/no pad with pads an option. Front bumperettes were an option on European cars. Through the years many US owners removed the front over riders.
