    Fs: 1981 935 dp turbo

I saw this car today not mine. Anyone know if it is real? They say Mario Andretti ordered it and owned it. They say only three were produced for the US and only 6 total were made? They want a number between 250 and 300. If anyone is interested let me know. Also very interested in any feedback on this car. It looks pretty cool

    Cheers
    Randy

Upside-down transmissions are commonplace but engines too?

Seriously when I first saw this car they were asking 475. The partner that ran the shop "ran" it into the ground and was excused by the investors. They closed the facility and my friend is care taking the balance of the inventory until it is sold. They want 300 he says they will consider 250. With the price of Turbos these days I would think this is a deal if it is a real Kremer?

I owned a Kremer once and my experience has been that they are somewhat of an albatross. Value is debatable because they weren't fac Porsche. I suspect the one in the photos has bone stock 300hp judging by the intercooler.

I think 250 is a stretch. Even with the low miles.

    But I could be wrong.

Other than ruf VIN cars any of the aftermarket tuner cars have valuations that are generally much lower than factory built cars. This is a grey market 930 to start which generally hurts values in US. $250k sounds very expensive to me.

With purchases like this it's no wonder they're no longer in biz.

Where can I find some of these "investors"?

The investors it appears were taken to the cleaners by a guy that owned Family Classics in Capistrano Beach California. ( Now defunct) This would be a very long tale so I will leave it at that. When I lifted the deck lid yesterday and saw a basically stock looking engine And the flimsy feel to the deck I was suspicious. The basically OE stock interior also was suspicious to me. But I am not even close to being anything knowlegible In any Porsche of race pedigree. I had to throw pictures to the wolves. The answer came so quickly that I assume the Investors were sold a bill of goods without doing any homework. Today I get to go into the shop and let them know that they have a Turd wrapped in a story. Whats it really worth? It may soon be available cheap at a very steep loss.
Frank, I am pretty sure this set of investors is over the whole classic industry and are seriously gun shy to any future opportunity.
