    chrome trim rear bumper

    Hello,

a question: I have an old Porsche piece I can`t identify.
I know its for the rear bumper, but is it something special? Or can I get it new today?
I can`t read the number. Can someone help me and tell me for what 911 it is (early/late)?

    Thank you very much!

    Regards

    Harald

    What makes it 67/68 only?

'67-'68 is SWB and the trim extends at the rear all the way to the bumperette...beginning in '69 there was a rubber housed rectangular reflector on the rear bumper adjacent to the bumperette...thus LWB, '69 on rear trim is shorter. Also, and actually an important detail, the rounded closed end on SWB trim has a different contour from the LWB trim....on SWB original trim the end is more like two separate 90 degree bends, more "square, and later LWB trim is a true continuous 180 degree bend, more "rounded." You need to show us a photo of the rounded end....later replacement trim for SWBs had the later rounded end when the factory ran out of original production, "square end" pieces and went to another supplier who went generic with all being "rounded."

'69-on are also shorter overall as the wheelbase change for '69 shortened the bumper ends.
