Question 1973 Targa - Felt in window guide - rear side of door

    Hello!

I am in the process of restoring my 73.5 911 Targa. While preparing for the paint job we noticed there was no felt in the rear window guide (the channel in the door, No. 2 in diagram).

Can anyone confirm this is how it is supposed to be? I would have expected a similar rubber/felt guide as in front (No.3 in diagram).

Thanks Craig, That's a good point. I had overlooked the "2" in the qty column.

So I guess its a matter of ordering that part and cut it to length to fit on the rear side.

    Thanks much!

The outer rail (2 on the Pet image) holds the plastic section on the window rail. Ie the glass does not run in the channel like a coupe. It thus has no felt runner. The pet shows felt runner 3 as needing 2 of them, that means one for each door as they are not handed.
