    Lakewell speakers

Anyone know anything about these, who makes them, whether they sound any good? Can't work out whether they are the same speaker as everyone is now supplying, or whether they are a genuine different and superior sounding product as indicated by Lakewell. Anyone bought and fitted one?

The same as the ones that are being sold for half the price: https://www.koenigs-klassik-radios.d...2-911/a-31123/

I don't know if you go to Essen, but there Königs will probably again sell them for 60 eur.

If they are the same as the one that I bought from Chrome London, which they probably are, then they are still quite tinny. I am using a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio with no amp, but with Chrome Londons Blue Tooth adaptor for my phone, so it could be a combination of these that is not making the speaker not sound so great.

If you are expecting it to sound better than it did back in the day it isn't going to happen, the only way to get better quality sound is with a newer stereo radio with amp and adding more speakers in the doors or rear shelf. I have an original Frankfurt and speaker in my '71 Targa and it sounds just like it did back in '71 very poor, but looks great!
