    Steering wheel splines

    Will a 914 380 mm 4 spoke steering wheel fit on a 67 911/912?

    Yes (stock VDO), with the modification to mount the horn cancel ring, if you want the horn to work. There may be a 100 threads here on this (perhaps I exaggerated ).

    No modifications if it is a 914-6 wheel. Dated pre '72 like a 806.10, 805.10 or a 803.10.

    I just removed a 914 wheel from 1973 (914.347.804.11) from my 912 that had been on the car for over 23 years and replaced it with a period correct wheel. It was a straight forward replacement.

    Maybe so but it was modified to take the 912 cancel ring. The spline is not the issue, the rear plate needs 2 holes counter sunk to take the cancel ring.

    The one I'm looking at is 914.347.809.00. It's fake leather, 1972 and later if I'm correct. I guess it will need to be drilled and taped.
