    1969 911 Doors?

    i have a 1969 that was converted to a 1974 during 80s.

Im trying to figure out if the doors were changed.
The door panels are late 70's but the interior was all replaced during the 74' conversion so door panels swap could have come along at that time.
The door handles appear to be 1969.

The rear mirrors are also 1974+ and could have been installed during the 74' conversion.

What would i need to look for to see what model year these doors are?

We would need good, detailed photos of the inner door structure. If the panels are off the car take a couple photos of the doors. There are details that sho8uld show up in the photos.

69 - 73 doors have four sets of captive nuts (for a total of 8) that run horizontally along the bottom of the door used to secure the front fixed and rear fold out door pockets. From everything I know (and I've been through many doors until I figured this out), this is unique to the 69-73 cars. In 73 they also put a horizontal safety beam inside the door....so if you have the four sets of nuts AND the safety beam, it is a one year only (73) door. 74 up changed the door card/door pocket design. I can't speak for the 68 and earlier cars.

my beige original 1969 door appears to match my donor black door.

They both have the same screw hole configuration along the bottom edge.

The black door appears to have been cut for power window switches and an additional speaker.

My black donor car is a rust free 1969T, so it would surprise me if the doors were missing.

It appears they are indeed 1969 doors unless somebody can show me otherwise?

Not sure, but I think I am seeing the internal 'safety' beam in these photos...if true, then a 73 or up. Also, do each of the (4) sets of captive nut holes indeed have nuts behind them...again, photo seems to indicate they may not (holes yes, but not the fixture/nuts behind them). If not all (8) are present, then that would further support a 73 up door if I am also right about the safety beam which is a very obvious addition to the inside of the door skin. Hope this helps.
