I guess now would be the perfect time to ask a hazet question. I googled Hazet Assistant parts and came up with a company that had a few parts. I needed the upper bumper strip that goes around the top shelf. They had one for $40. Ordered it and installed it, or tried. Was a aftermarket repop or something close. Ended up trying 3M weatherstrip to hold it on. Didn't work to well.
Does anyone know if Hazet sells the correct upper bumper for these carts?

We have the spare parts for the current version of the 166N here:

I am not quite sure how they fit the older ones.

Thanks for the reply. Good info. I did try the rubber profile and it did not work. I even tried to permanently attach with 3m weather strip cement with no luck. It is not a copy of the original, it is for another application and someone thought it was close enough to work.

I am confused. In the beginning of this thread someone posted a Amazon listing showing the Trolly at $2600. The post that just went up has them for $702 + shipping. What did I miss.?

This is easy to explain. We are located in Germany and sell Hazet tools worldwide and ship directly from Germany. We have a large stock and immediate access to the Hazet production. US$ 702 is the current list price of the new model. There are some dealers in the US (including Amazon) that import Hazet tools and have their individual markup on the list prices.

As of today all tool imports to the US are duty free up to a total of 800$ per day. Hazet Assistents are generally duty free independent of their value as they are considered metal furniture which is duty free.

Spare parts for the Assistent are always the ones for the current model. Whether they fit older models we do not know. We do though sell used older ones on Ebay every once in a while.

Today's inspection. The guy is 74 years old (has learned porsche in the 60s), the Hazet Assisent is out of the 60s.

    Nice.

My dream is to one day tinker in the garage in nothing but boxers, a wife beater, and flip-flops. Every day.

You'll need to wear socks with sandals to be a true Porsche mechanic. Those purple suspenders are a nice touch too!
