    FS: SWB/LWB Front Hood

Very nice rust/dent free CA/AZ front hood (been in my garage covered in dust for years) that was removed from a Polo Red SWB car. Looks like it had one black respray many moons ago and now paint has either flaked off or is about to. No visible VIN stamp, at least that I can find. $1500 local pick up or ship at your expense. would the two light openings indicate it is for a 1969S?

One light hoods came in 1972 and I think they stayed that way into the impact bumper cars. Chris

what was the deal prior to 1972?

I assumed only "S" cars from 1969-1972 had dual hood lights?
As far as 65-68 go i have no idea.

did some looking and it turns out all 65-68 hoods had dual lights (or provisions for dual lights) except the 912 which had cardboard covering one hole.

1969 912 and 911T had one hole. (from what i have seen, 1969 911S had the two holes).

    1970-1971 was two lights.

    1972- on was single light.

This would make a great hood for somebody, especially if they need two holes.

Sounds correct. I know 72 and 73 were both one lights.
