    directional lights on dash

My turn signal lights are all working correctly, but the the dash lights come on together at idle. At speed, the right dash light works correctly, but the left comes on both directions.

I have deOXit the lamp sockets and bulbs as well as the grounds at 4 corners & the ground behind the dash. No change in the problem

What direction should I look next?

    Thanks, Tom

Had a similiar problem and it was the grounds. I went to each turn signal housing and checked all grounds, at the housings and where they were grounded to. Then went behind the guages and checked the gang ground clusters. I recall several had telltale indication of slight corrosion. Not sure what was the final solution, but afterwards everything worked correctly.

As Jeff says,,,,often grounds. If you really want to be sure of good grounds operate the flasher and then go to the appropriate turn signal housing and scrape clean a metal, surface then run a jumper wire from that surface to a clean surface on the chassis, or even preferable back to the battery ground cable. That is the best way to determine if a ground connection. You can't do this visually. If not a ground, then likely a bad flasher. Since you don't indicate what car this for if a SWB getting a correct flasher can be a problem. If LWB car can still be a problem as some parts places substitute incorrect flashers. Really needs to be from Porsche.
