Thread: RSR Racing Engine Oil Cooler Delete ?

RSR Racing Engine Oil Cooler Delete ?

Have an 89 3.2 engine going up to a 3.4/single plug with hot cam and 9.8CR.

I will have dual fender coolers up front.

Question is do I need the on-engine cooler??? I've heard this may be more important/effective than front coolers especially 'in traffic' or moving slowly???

    What are advantages to removing?

I've seen the RSR/Racing filters that can be put in place, but why did they do this??

This is what would replace the oil cooler at the back of the engine.

You can also use the 964 piece... which is cheaper and available ... but not as cool

Do did they not run any filter except for this one??

Anyone have a problem removing the cooler at this location?? In terms of higher temps, or problems idling, or in traffic, etc.

Run the dual setup and you'll never be hot.
