    NOS Parts

Need to replace my turn signal switch. I love it when a box like this arrives:

That is a 2nd generation replacement switch. Nothing like the original switch, though.

    Regards

Something tells me we'll be seeing packaging, part number tags, and empty boxes for sale soon.

    Lol.

Man, now I think I understand why Jim pointed out that the switch is a 2nd gen part. It's a later part than the switch on my 72. When I went to replace the switch I noticed the differences when I got the clam shell off the steering column. Dang it. It looks like I'll be offering up a NOS 2nd gen turn signal switch and on the hunt for an earlier one. I'll even throw the box in for free!!

    Nick

PS I'll post in the FS section to abide by the rules.

What's wrong with your switch? Sometimes the points can be cleaned/adjusted.

I'm not really sure Frank. My low beams didn't work, and my mechanic said the switch was bad. He replaced it with one he had laying around and the low beams work, but they are still weak. Plus, the turn signal cancel function only works on one side.

    Frank,

The market for domestic restorations is already flooded with counterfeit boxes and parts. The printing is simply amazing. You have to use a magnifying glass to pick up the differences. They've even replicated the card board stock. Amazon is getting hit pretty hard with this stuff. We know it's rampant on eBay.

Up to now there's not a to of counterfeit Porsche stuff out there. They can't be bothered with such a small market. Eventually though it will happen. Ok, it might already be happening.
