3 prong vs. 4 prong flasher relays?

At the parts suppliers websites I see both a 3 prong and a 4 prong flasher/turn signal relay for my '72 911...what is the difference?

I also see different part numbers for the 4 prong... 90161830311 and 91461830311...again, what is the difference?

For your 72 911 the 914 part no is correct per factory spare parts catalogue. I suspect the 901 no is for earlier cars. I have heard bad things about about URO flasher. Rob
