Tony Gerace Porsche Mastercraftsman has Passed.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.......

Tony Gerace, Husband, Father, friend has passed. He was a business owner and enthusiast, who represented the very best of this hobby.

    He has left too early.

I built my 69S with Tony. He shared my enthusiasm, he shared my passion. It was Tony when the project bogged down in rust proposed John Esposito, then a small start-up shop working out of a storage locker. They were a great collaboration. Through the project, I developed an appreciation for Tony's skills, direction and leadership. Yet it was his wisdom (Tony had a full life) and warmth that made me realize this was more than a build, it ended as a life lesson. Tony made me part of an experience, through it I learned of Porsches, Tony, as well as a bit more of myself. He allowed for vulnerability without exploiting it. He taught trust. When visiting LA, he invited me to stay in his home with Lois and Marco. Lois made me sweet rolls for breakfast. Conversation was about life and family. Impactful moments, I will never lose the appreciation for......

Yes, I am saddened......I didn't get to say goodbye....

    One of the "good guys".

Always fun to hang with - old school, real, irreverent, humorous, super- knowledgable about the Porsches we love.

My condolences to Lois and Marco. He will be missed.

    Well said Luke...
Like Luke, my experence with Tony and Marco was more like dealing with a family member then with a business...which is to say at the end of the day they did you right.
The purchase of my "BTFC 911" from 3k miles away was sealed simple with Marco handing the phone over to Tony and Tony telling me "buy the fckg car, its a good car" simple, direct and too the point ..a stamp of approval from a man that I highly respected but more importantly I trusted..Tony had integrity and was direct and honest, three qualities that I have come to appreciate over my lifetime
The fact that you have 3 east coast enthusiast chiming in, with more too follow I'm sure, just shows how far reaching Tony's reputation and friendship was...
This hobby just lost one of the "good guys" who was hot-rodding 911's way before it was cool to do so..
    He will be missed...
Marco and Lois, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families as you go through these most difficult times...

I just met Marco a couple of weeks ago when he helped me with a car I was driving from California to Kansas City. If his dad was anything like him he was a great guy.
