    1969 was first year for vin tag on windshield a-pillar in addition to the vin tag on the nose.
    Id say the nose tag was lost or distroyed when repianted.

    Agree, looks like it has California Assigned ID Tag in the trunk where the usual Porsche VIN plate is located. If this 69 MY was built in 1968, it made not have an A-pillar ID tag since it was not required until January 1, 1969. Interesting aftermarket wheels . . . optimistic price.

    Seller's Description:

    Mostly original been in same family since new.
    Was originally special order metallic gold. Was painted black in 1985. Never been in accident all original sheet metal. Interior is all original except door panels and dash pad. The engine is a 67 motor that was rebuilt and installed along with a 75 915 transmission in the 80s. It has about 7500 miles on motor since installed. Runs and drives excellent. I have maintenance records. It can be driven as is or restored.
