its one of the 2.5 ST race prototypes using experimental flares
its in the RS book
it probably was eventually recycled back into the production line

if so... should this image be in the ultimate ST treahd?
how do you know it's proto 2.5?
what tires are they? is it 1972? Aren't fuchs that size supposed to not exist? I understand that they are somewhat larger fuchs or am I wrong?
is an engine outside the car what you see in the background of the image?
Those flares don't have a torsion bar hole, do they?

In the RS book it says aerodynamic tests were conducted (front spoiler and ducktail) in March 1972 on E14 (a 911E) and E24 (911.230.0022).
Although they're all black & white pictures, the car above could be E24 - color looks similar and it also is a 1972 model (oelklappe).
The wheels seem to be the ones that made it onto the RSR (9"" front & 11" rear), we know that Fuchs must have made those in 1972, ('70 & '71 911 ST rears didn't have them).
