I don't mind sponsorship but perhaps it could be more discreet?

I am, of course, referring to the new look forum page with two sponsorship deals in the for sale section

I appreciate the need to survive commercially, but wondered what others though about the scale of the logos etc acknowledging our gratitude for their dollars.

Am I the only one who finds it a bit too much and intrusive?

Would be good to gather opinion...

I like it. I've already secured sponsorship for my posts.

Me Either. I have been on sites where it defaults you to a different full page ad before you can look at what you want. THis is a no brainer No issue for me.

Exactly... no commercialism... use to be that way

Agree with Stephen on using discretion

If I recall somebody was complaining about a member shilling for Paul at Auto Kennel. Paul stepped up and did an honorable act. Make it bigger if he wants. Bravo Paul who I do not know personally.

A little common sense site design would go a long ways.

The image needs to be aligned further right so that it occupies the blank space to the right of the pre-existing design elements. That way it wouldn't push the content so far down the page which is what is jarring.

    Well --- considering the number of free-load ---- er . . . non-paying 'visitors' who turn-up here . . .

. . . more power to anyone who wants to advertise here

If the people who browse here all the time are too cheap to pay the trivial sum a membership costs, well? . . .

. . . let some who wants access to our audience pay, then

Besides, all the 'good stuff' is still inside all the threads, anyway, so . . .

    . . . I say -------- COMERCIALIZE AWAY!

I would like to sponsor Off Topic.

I assume that it's heavily discounted?
