Barn Find Questions... A friend found a car and we need help figuring out what it is

We are trying to figure out exactly what this car is. I have a photo of the VIN tag. Some sites I look at say 911 s and some say 911 L.

    Any help?

Not a 911L. If I recall correctly, the VIN series for the US '68 911L coupe is 11805001-11805499. Just checked my books, and Davey is spot on: 11830139 is a 911 coupe (one of 473 made in 1968)

What crankshaft did that model have? Counterweighted or non-counterweighted?

In that era they were all counterweighted, I think 69-71 T's were non.

Barely worth the effort of posting a second picture.
