The discussion is rather interesting. There are a lot more of these cars floating around than were ever built in Germany.

It reminds me of "It was an incredible show. All 15 of the original 10 cars were on display."

The restorer couldn't put a hose clamp on the rubber intake boot or a sticker on the air cleaner?

Sorry for that redux, Hugh . . .

I don't really follow these cars, that much. And that there's no proper VIN to search for doesn't help

It has featured here a few times in various guises and is totally different in provenance to a car that I think was #1109 that was sold in the UK in 2002 after coming from France where it was a concourse winner.
It features here in a very long and convoluted post starting with its engine being found and in part about it being pulled from a RM auction in 2011 due to "identification issues"
However the threads on it being at RM and then being pulled, along with the photos that clearly identify the car, have disappeared from this site. This is the only reference I can find now on the site with comments from stacy and the ever reliable Tom (Sithot) re posting the words from the auction.. I LOVE the comment above in this context "and reborn by Marque expert Jack Molinier." the "rare" options listed are complete BS . . .

    As for Tomini? . . .

    . . . THAT name I will remember

Wow that was an engaging read this am with my coffee...thank god for the keepers of the flame. Befuddled that this car popped up again after all that.
