    Thank you Jim. Looks like I have 4 pairs of 65-68 rear seat backs. I really should have known the difference but did not make sense I had that many and no 69-73 plus some of the mounts looked different (twisted). Steve

    Something tells me that the thin strap metal is thru`66'. ......cliff
    oops, my 67 912 has thin straps; my `68` Karmann coupe (body tossed, parts kept , 1995) 912 has the latter style hinge.....
