    NIB Koni front strut inserts

I have a couple sets of Koni inserts. I believe they only fit Koni strut housings. The 86-1638's are for the early ones and the 86-1942's are for the later type. $275 per set ConUS shipping included.

Hi.... I do not know what I have... They are "wet" not insert. Struts are on 1968 9/11 L, The only number I have is on the top threaded collar. The number is 1-233-000-0023. The thread pitch is 1.5 …. I have other top collar parts from 40 years of parts collecting and they have the same number, I have never had Koni struts … So maybe I can assume that these are Boge… Let me know what you have...… You can see a picture of my shocks in the "technical questions" section of Early 911S. Under "shock question"thank you bob reg.# 3596

Konis with a separate threaded collar can be installed in Koni or Boge struts with the right collar.

66S ….That was my experience …. years ago replacing shocks . If I knew what thread type the strut was I could install the Koni with the appropriate threaded collar... Unfortunately, know one that I have shown the strut to knows what it is???/ Al at parts heaven "thinks" it is Boge….. My top collar is about 50mm measured to outside treads . The tread type is 1.5... The dust cap was painted the Koni red , but who knows by who or when it was painted.

your 86-1638 are for an 1969 car … your 86-1942 are for a 76 car...... my 1968 takes an 86-1394.
