    1969 E and S suspension difference?

would the 69E have the same sway bar and torsion bar as the 69S?
I assume they would be different from the 69T?

Sway bars and front suspension 1969 could be tricky.

I believe that a standard 911T would not have been fitted with sway bars on either the front or rear but they could have been selected as an option.

    In 1968 sway bars could have been 11mm for a 911L, 13mm for a 911 and 15mm for a 911S with 14mm and 16mm also available as options.

In 1969 the 911S would have had, as standard a 15mm diameter front bar.

The E is much more difficult to understand as I am sure many cars would have has sway bars specified along with Koni Struts but as standard the E would have used the Boge Oleodynamic Self-Levelling front strut. The front torsions bars would have been eliminated as this strut also operates as a spring and as it has a rising rate no sway bar was used. 1 1969 E would also have been fitted with 14" diameter wheels as standard.

The standard Rear Sway Bar on a 1969S would have also been 15mm diameter and the standard E and T would not have had rear bars fitted.

    thanks.

I came across a parts car 69E targa with konis. I am going to take the suspension and S brakes for my 69T restoration.
I will check the sway bar size.
    All very interesting!

Just checking the spec book regarding Stabilizers states:
Standard on the S, 15 mm front and rear
Optional for the 911T and 911E
13 mm dia if used in the front only
15 mm dia. if used in front and rear
T and E not equipped with stabilizers as std equipment.

What manufucature would the strut insert be for a 69E?
