Installing Momo Prototipo - Help with horn cables

Hello, I'm installing a Momo Prototipo in my 1968 S instead of the original wheel, and I have no idea how to install the horn cables so that it works properly.

Here are 4 pictures, one shows the back of the original steering wheel, one the slot where the wheel goes and 2 more the setup on the Prototipo.

Do I just install the wheel and then run a cable from the hub to the horn button?

I notice the back of the hub has a slot where a horn contact pin could fit. Do I need a contact pin? If a pin is needed do I need a short or a long one?

    Thanks

Henry- Super easy. Did the new hub come with a horn contact and an attached wire? It should have. You need to remove the spring, washer and turn signal cancel ring from your old wheel and install it on the new Momo hub. You should also have a horn contact that fits in the larger hole on the hub. There should be a wire attached to the horn contact which fits on the spade connector on the horn button. Remember to make sure the splines are lined up correctly so your wheel is straight. Also, the tab on the turn signal cancel ring is on the left side of the wheel (as you are look at the wheel from the front). The last thing you do is attach the wire to the hub and press fit the hub on wheel and then go for a drive.

    Thanks Nick.

NO, no horn contact with wire attached....

I get the part of removing the spring, washer and turn signal cancel ring from my old wheel and install it on the new Momo hub, but I will need a contact pin with a wire attached like you mention...

I bought the hub from Zuffenhaus. I will contact them and see if they can send me the contact pin.

    Thanks again!

The contact pins for those hubs are special and need to be one for that specific hub.

PS: The horn contact shown in the above post is installed upside down!

Ah yeah; should definitely have had a horn contact included! I'll send one out tomorrow - totally my bad. (it'll be super-simple when you have the part)

Thanks, so I'll have to talk to Zuffenhaus to get the correct contact pin.

PS: That might explain why my horn wasn't working properly....
