1967S control arms?

I am looking to replace a front control arm on my 67S due to a small rust hole. What model year control arms are the same?
I have a couple of donor cars that i can source a good control arm from.

I can say that your control arm is different than a 68 and on, and probably easier to find than a 68 control arm. The bushings are different. I would bead blast that arm (s) and inspect carefully, maybe a good weld and grind would make it good to go. But it is a critical part so safety and all that...

would 1965-1967 be all the same? Any way to tell what is a true 65-67 arm?

Is it really safe to assume 68+ are different?

The 65-67 Arms are the same basic style and interchange.

The 1968 Arm is 1 year only and the difference is the bushes on the end are different to those used on the early arm.

The 65-67 Arms uses a Fan Block on the steering crossmember end and the diameter of the arm where this mounts is smaller than the 1968 Arm so you could not mount the Fan Block onto the later arm.

The front bush also changes and the 68 arm will mount to the front suspension pan but you would need to fit the correct protective bracket 901.341.159.00 to be entirely safe.

If your steering Crossmember is 1967 then you need to use a Fan Block as the later bush won't fit so switching to the 1968 arm will not be an option.

The 1968 Arm uses the same ball joint as the 1965-1967 Arms but uses the same rubber bushes as the 1969 arms which then use a different ball joint and hence strut.


The steering rack also changed in 1969 and although they interchange the lengths differ.

i agree with the others. '65-'67 are the same and have been interchangeable in every case i have observed. stick with '65-'67 and you should be okay.

the '68 front suspension was a transition year, and has a different cross member, among other things.
