    Value 2.0 1967 engine

I would like to build a twinpluged 2.0 " 911 R engine and need to find a core engine, I have been offered a 2.0 1967 alu engine 901/06 all complete with webers , it have been stored inside for 30 years but need a rebuild.

I`m much in doubt about value , I know the aprrox value on a 65 engine with solex but , how much for
    this engine?

    thanks

    Lars

Complete 901/06... $14-16k in my opinion. And a pig in a poke unless the seller is going to guarantee that the crank is std/std, etc.
Lots of parts on that motor that you won't use: Oil pump, rods, pistons, cams, Webers, fiberglass fan shroud, fan & housing. And depending on how "authentic" (and oil-leak free) you want it you may even want to use 3.0 style chain boxes and 4 journal cam housings.

My advice is to buy all the bits separately.

Let me know what you're thinking; I have tons of race cases, oil pumps, rods (steel and titanium), ported heads, and cams.

I agree with Frank 100% on both points. A pig in a poke is a gamble unless you can break it down before paying. Buy it in pieces. I am sure Frank will make you a package deal.
