Seeking front tub / fender to hood fitment advice

    Hey All,

I've started on a somewhat foolhardy quest to right a few wrongs on a 66 SWB. I've done a bit of rust and poor workmanship removal in the front area. The driver side fender was replaced due to a pretty solid shunt to that side of the car back in the 1970's. The work wasn't terrible for a body shop, but this car was someone's commuter, so I assume it was a fast redo and back on the road. They replaced the front slam panel as well. Basically, the car must have suffered a front collision followed by a side-swipe. Regardless, the hood-fender gaps in the front were always out of wack and now I'd like to rectify that situation. The passenger fender had never been removed from the car. I think what might have happened is that the impact from the driver's side damage must have pushed the front of the tub askew resulting in a large gap between the hood and the front fender. The pictures should outline this discrepancy.

Does anyone who does this sort of thing have any experience rectifying this sort of issue?

    Thanks in advance.
    Dan
