Accelerator pull rod / bell crank spare kit 1967 911 swb

On my 1967 I have a straight m5 threaded accelerator rod with ball sockets in each end connecting the bell crank on the gearbox to the small bell crank on the webers

the original one look like this

can anyone explain why the original one is made like this ?

I might convert to the original one , but where do I get the original bell crank for the rod, or can I buy a bell crank repair kit somewhere?

Are you saying you want to convert back to the pull rod with curved section ??? and you are also in need of a bell crank?? Should be able to find a used bell crank, just make the lever arms are the correct length for carburetors, injection ones were longer for greater leverage.

Yes , I have that idea that a firm rod without the loop in the bell crank end can stick/ cause uneven throttle response.

I did not understand that your pull rod did not have the loop at the "bellcrank" end. That shouldn't make the linkage stick,,,,but not understanding why someone would do that???? I agree, you should make it correct!

yes , wtf.. have the former owner been thinking? when I think how much the engine can flex in the engine mount and driving track days etc, I would think that it could stick without the correct loop at the bell crank end. I think the germans knew what they was doing enginering the loop..
