GOLD P-O-R-S-C-H-E ENGINE LID LETTERS - question please

I just received a new set of PORSCHE letters, PN 901-559-301-22 from PORSCHE and they have a 'frosted' finish rather than a bright glossy one. Has any one else experienced this in buying a set of these from PORSCHE? P.S. Just bought a 911-S emblem from AASE and it is the customary bright/gloss finish. Thoughts please. Thank you

    Yes, had the same situation.
I returned letters and bought a very good original set.

Thank you 71gold...fortunately my original letters are in excellent condition...just the letter 'C' had one short stud so I could not capture the speed nut on it, but that still left one stud and nut which seems to secure the letter.

Bumping this thread -- is anyone reproducing the rear deck letters in the old-style shiny finish? All of the newer "Genuine Porsche" sets have a modern matte finish. Thanks for any leads.

Amazing and annoying that the factory deliberately change their parts like this. I will also need a set.
