removing head light plug on wiring harness

Anybody have any ideas on how to remove the plastic head light plug from the harness (so I can pull it through the headlight bucket). This a 71 targa. Thx very much

Use a small straight tip screwdriver, tip only a couple mm wide, and looking at the socket opposite the wire entry, you will see a small groove in the socket. That is where the spade end tab snaps up to lock the spade in place. Push the screwdriver tip in and push down that tab. The spade will then pull out the back.
