FS: Cibie Bi-Iode Headlamps - Refurbished

    ** SOLD **

Sold to an old customer and friend...

These Cibie Bi-Iodes are in original and excellent condition. The reflectors are very, very good and did not need replating. Therefore I didn't undergo the difficult task of removing the lenses. The lenses have no chips, scratches or road rash but I wished I could have wiped them down inside - not really too bad, just not perfect (I like perfect). The rubber backings that are used for wiring are in relatively good shape as those typically dry out, crack and fall apart. I have supplemented them with some electric tape.

One of the large reflectors came with a hole for a city light and one did not. I used foil and taped over the hole and it is pretty much invisible through the lens.

The housings are original and correct Hella sealed beam housings that have been bead blasted and powder coated. The lenses are new Hellas with the correct large logo. Chrome trim rings, adjustment screws, gaskets and bulbs (Hella 55w) are new. Not pictured are male H4 connectors that will be added.

I think that by now everyone knows how cool Cibie Bi-Iodes are, perhaps the most exotic of the early headlights. They were originally used on the 911R, 911ST and 911RSR. They're also getting to be hard to find.

    $1,990.00 plus shipping

    Thanks,
    John

With my 50th wedding anniversary over I'm not likely to over indulge on adult beverages any time soon and reduce the price on these to a stupid bargain level like I did with the great set of Bosch H1's (nice grab Hen). But I am open to reasonable offers. These are special and belong on a special car.

I'm also restoring a set with yellow high beams which are totally bitchin', but unfortunately those are sold.

    Cheers,
    John
