3k miles on rebuilt engine but no documentation?

Silly question but how do you know that it was rebuilt and what parts and machine work went into it?

Sorry but typical of these cars they were not always "appreciating classics", just old hobby cars. The mods and rebuild were done 10+ years ago, with the owner dying when they were about complete. The estate stored the car a few years, then sold it off. They were not car people. I'm the 3rd owner since, and none of the paper trail followed the car.

The mileage since rebuild is as-told by the previous owner, and my inspection of the vehicle tells me it is genuine. But, no paper proof. This is not my first 911.

Any competent inspection can tell the engine has been apart and rebuilt. Sealer use, bolt and nut tool wear, new head studs, non-stock mods, etc. are all clearly evident. If a buyer wants, they can perform a leakdown or compression test.
