Has Anyone Studied the Nuances of Center Console '64-67 911 Engine Support Crossbar?

I am interested to know whether anyone has studied the "console" of the engine support crossbar to determine whether the yoke changes between model years?

For the most part, folks seem to 'believe' (which we are questioning) that the yoke is interchangeable. I just wonder whether that presumption is actually true?

It would seem that the changes to the fuel pump area (pierburg, etc.), as well as changes to the chain covers, and changes to the sheet metal, might also cause the console to be configured differently. I am hoping that someone might have already done that research.

Thanks, in advance, for any education, as always.

The pre-67 rear engine support (yoke) was a single stamping, after which it became 2 stampings welded together, and included tubes for longer mounting studs to pass through.
I think the change occurred mainly to accommodate a compound pulley and belt drive for air conditioning.

Of course I should have included the part number. That was stupid.

The correct part is called the "console" and is part number 901.115.014.04, after engine #909 001.

They are completely interchangeable. As Jon mentioned, probably revised to accommodate A/C with only difference in the mounting being the stud length.

First gen version is a little wimpy compared to the extra beefy later one which also has allowance for a vertical A/C compressor bracket. And the early ones are worth about 10X the dough.
