    steering wheel vibration

what is the best way of checking to see if I need to replace my front struts. They are not leaking. I have a vibration in the steering wheel at 70+. Wheels rebalanced several times. I am using the original steel wheels

If I have them removed to check, I assume that they must be replaced

Loose tie rod ends, loose wheel bearings, bent wheels, tires with excessive runout, and improperly balanced wheels can also cause the vibration.

70mph that does sound like wheel balance.

There is a good idea. Also rig up something to check run out, and spin them before the swap.
