    Early dual batteries

Anyone have issues with fitting new Porsche Moll batteries in the battery boxes ?
My old Porsche brand batteries fit. New Moll brand from the dealer do not go in.
Plus.... delivered dry. Anyone priced battery acid lately ?
    TIA

Batteries can't be shipped from Germany with acid, and battery acid is dirt cheap at Autozone, O'Reilly's, etc. But the fit issue is a real concern. I guess I'll find out later this week when mine are delivered.

    Battery acid was cheap.
    Today is different.
There is no indication on the batteries what acid capacity is.
I'm guessing at about 2 quarts....maybe more. Per battery.
Autozone lists 32 oz. at $9.99..... x 2 per battery
So...about $40. + tax for acid. maybe more.

    Hey Scott
    Thanks for the offer.
Interstates are available here in NJ.
I thought I was being a good disciple choosing the original battery.
    We'll see how this goes.

Interstate batteries fit fine - I like them because they are plain black now, cut off the plastic flaps and use a factory rubber cover and make sure the batt connectors are original type. Its a tight fit no matter what. There are 2 strips of cardboard that go beneath the batteries - sometime they will stop the battery from fitting too. Bummer if you bought from Porsche and it doesn't fit - does not surprise me however as they don't seem to know much highly detailed info about their old cars.

    Update.
After some 'persuasion' (BFH, porta power) the batteries fit. Probably previous damage. Well disguised.
As for the acid, 6qt. box (192 oz.)from NAPA store $15. Just enough to cover plates. Way better than $12.99 for 32oz. at AutoZone
May need a bit more after sitting for a day and slow charging.
    Hope this helps others.
