    I remember when original Rudge wheels were, gasp, $10,000 for a set. Now that is a screaming deal!

    I wound up judging VWs at the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show. That included two VWs which were drag raced by female drivers--between them they had six 4½ x 15 Fuchs and two "Deep Sixes."

    Those days are long gone, take it from a guy who recently cobbled together a set. It hurt to buy each wheel....
