    Hi,

Selling this nice correct 69-73 interior rear view mirror. Plastic is great, mirror glass has some hazing. Asking 110$ shipped.

    Kind regards, Cees

Intriguing! ITs what I'd expect of a 68 only mirror body. Could this be an early 69 transition? My original early 70MY mirror body has a different texture.

I have seen many and sold a few but this mirror with that texture and no numbers on the housing is definitely 69-73. I have the same in my RS...

    Cees,

The pebbled texture I thought was 67-68 only with the difference in the day/night tab of course. The original mirror on my early 70S is a completely different texture (don't know what I'd call it,,,). The texture of my 70 mirror, I've always associated with 69-73.

So, I dug my mirror out of storage. My recollection at least isn't shot. I guess you'd call the texture "leather grain"? This mirror I assume was on the window of my 70S since '85 or so when it was put in storage. I always assumed it to be original. Has an SR logo (Stabil?) and 4161 under the swivel.

    Mirror body is roughly 9.25" x 2.75"

    Hi Michael,

As far I know this is the later version, also used on the 928 and 924. More of a generic mirror but I can't proof I am 100% right.

    Cheers, Cees

BTW, the mirror has been sold, thanks board!

Thanks Cees! Learned something new. Something new on my list to find as well, LOL. And I see you sold your mirror. Perfect timing, ha!

I have history on my car going back to 75 and I know it was once stolen and then recovered pre 75. The car was highly original when I bought it except for a color change to black, the 7x15s on the corners and the 72 sports seats. It's very possible the mirror was replaced and I made the assumption as to its originality. Since I thought I had an original mirror, I've not paid real attention to mirror threads except for the unique 67/68 versions.
