    4 1/2 chrome wheel question

Did Porsche offer 4 1/2 chrome wheels in 1970? ........or were they all 5 1/2" by then?

The only 4 1/2 wheels offered by Porsche in 1970 were on a 914.

Thanks Jim........I`ve got a set of 5 NOS mint in the boxes 4 1/2x15 chromies, all dated 1/70 from Stoddard`s 40 years ago. Lemmerz 1536.....1/70.....3.9mm centers. I was wondering if they would be concours correct for an early 70s 911?.....or 914-6?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Just put them on a 67 or earlier 911 or 912 and cover the date stamps with hub caps.
Those are "post production" replacement wheels.
I don't think you will have any trouble recouping your purchase cost.

    Regards

    Jim
