    Mfi temp.

Is there a minimal ambient air temperature at cold start up that requires you to MUST have the thermostat heater working ?
I am at sea level and a min temp of 50F
    Thanks in advance

Are you speaking of the flapper valve on the air intake?

you should be fine, have you tried it?

I'm pretty sure I've started mine in temps like that and it takes a few starts but will get going pretty quickly. I've got a button on the dash for the cold start squirters though.

45 degrees C thermotime switch for cold start works up to 113 degrees.

My experience is to keep all that stuff attached. It will work without it but was designed by smart people to be there.

As per the correct previous answers,,,, keep everything intact as designed, as to your question, keep the hot air hose to the thermostat, that is to lean out mixture as engine warms up.
