Rubber band for evaporative vapor tank

The evap vapor tank that goes under the cowl in front of the gauges is normally secured by a square section oversized rubber band thingy. Anybody have a source? If not, at least a dimension for the square sides (and a total length) and then I can get a 3 foot length from McMaster-Carr and make my own.

    thanks

I'll try Jim. I just assumed any 40-50 year old rubber items would be past their best before dates. Worth a shot I suppose.

Thanks ! If I can't find a square section one, which is original, I'll grab one of those. Better than nothing.

Yes of course, when I get it. I'll also put the closest McMaster-Carr part number. They sell by the foot, which means one has to join two ends. But that can easily be hidden behind the tank.

    Hi Ravi,

Pleased for you that you found one.

We didn't have such novelties this side of the pond ... Presumably not RoW spec either so not sure how many international markets would have it listed on eBay unless for NA market cars exported.

I enjoy the attention to detail in your build posts
