Interior/glovebox light do work - trunklights/watch do not (fuse ok)

I ve encountered again a strange electricial glitch.

My two interiors lights as well as the glovebox light work, but not anymore my two trunk lights as well as the watch/clock. They are all on the same fuse, (white) fuse is in order.

It used to all work, now again not anymore.
A few weeks ago my glovebox was blocked, strangely it also stopped all 4 light units to work.
I managed to open the glovebox again, all 4 lights worked again.
    Now its as above.

Should I test the wires or is this common?
Modelyear 71, unrestored car ive owned since 2005, thx.

With a voltmeter test both sides of the fuse, if power on both sides test with voltmeter whether 12 v. power is getting to black wire at each light unit.

    Thx. Will do.
What is strange is that fuse is working since its giving electricity to interior lights and glovebox light, but not anymore to clock and trunk light. It used to work.
Somewhere a bug/shortcurcuit/wire contact thing to the two things which now fail to receive electricity.

There is a connection point in trunk, behind glovebox.

Thx. I removed the clock, wiggled on its wire and made shure they are correctly on. Clock works again !
Since now only the two trunk lights do not work yet, i assume its a connection problem, the wire from fuse to the lights.
Thx for the connection point info, behind glovebox. Will check.
These are all minor things but rewarding when one can fix it as I hate when things do not work.

I'm assuming you've remembered that the trunk lights only work if the headlights are on.

Got the trunk lights bug, a loose connection. Much minor problem than I thought.
(My two front trunk lights always go up when i open the hood, regardless if headlights are on or not. If I close it, they are off. At least it was the setup the last 12 years i've owned this car.)

Thx for help and all your comments.

    Lightbulb

    Not true....

However, sometimes when we're working in the trunk for long periods of time we wish it was true....

Nope, the trunk light/lights should come on when the hood goes up regardless of turning on the headlights...

That's true Chuck,,,,,but for LWB cars,,,,,SWB cars require the park lights to be on to operate the trunk lights!
