Thread: Window frame inserts - help!

    Window frame inserts - help!

One of the inserts in my window frame has a bolt sheered in it from a previous owner and it's not going anywhere.
I managed to tap out the insert from the frame but need to replace it.

Does anyone sell these splined inserts for the window frames?

I am talking about the ones that are pressed in to the frame which take the 5 bolts which mount it the door.

    Thanks.

Haven't tried, but I would be looking to use a nutsert......depends on whether the tip of the tool can get between the channels. There are nutserts and there are nutserts......you want the ones that have splines on the barrel...better bite.

Try Kevin at Historika and if he can't help you I could send you what you need. Shipping out of the US is a pain in the ass, though.

    Regards
