Piston Ring Set for my 2.2

Need a new ring set for my '71 2.2 engine, is this the only source? Size is 84mm by 1.5, 2.0 and 5.0mm oil ring, any other recommendations?

You could try E.B. S. just to see what they have. Usual other name German brand supplier is Goetz

Thanks Ed, EBS carries the Goetze brand but don't have the set with the 5mm oil ring.

You'll either need to find an NOS KS set or go with aftermarket, like Total Seal. Not sure I would feel comfortable on a street app with aftermarket; I think you may be less than excited about the smoking.

    Start digging.

Or suck it up and buy a new set of 2.2S Mahle P's&C's.

So NOS KS as opposed to the ones Sierra Madre has? http://www.sierramadrecollection.com...00-p15709.html

Mike, the Sierra Madre rings are "KS" (KoblenSchmidt) and I suspect that they're NOS.

Additional thought, with Frank's comment in mind...

The SM ad title is "Koblenschmidt Piston Ring Set, 911 (2.2/2.4)" so the implication is that they're a Koblenschmidt product. There is no other manufacturer noted.
Even so, anyone ordering these rings should still confirm with SM that they're genuine Koblenschmidt rings in Koblenschmidt packaging. If they're not, then the ad is very misleading.

Frank, you just deleted your post about being told that the SM rings are Grant, not Koblenschmidt. Did SM tell you that?
