    FUCHS Deep 6x15 7x15

    Hello

I have a set of original Fuchs Deep 6 x 15 alloys wheels. Two of them were cut and re-welded to make 7 x 15 alloys. The 7 x 15 Fuchs was original to the 67 911 R. The story goes that these 7 x 15's were modified by the wheel Meister Harvey Wiedman but I have no direct knowledge or paperwork to support this. I included some detailed pictures that show the weld. It appears that they used a set of donor Fuch 15's to cut off the back side then welded them to some deep 6's that were cut. The job is done in a very professional way.

I drove on these wheels for at least 500 miles, they drove straight, held air, no problems. The 7 x 15's fit perfectly under the rear of the 69-73 flare with a 10 mm spacer. You might be able to use the factory wheel stud or you may decide to install longer studs. I used longer studs with steel wheel nuts.

The tires were Toyo Proxes RA 1 : 205/50-15 front and 225/50-15 rear. I have read on multiple threads about which tire is best, what tire to use etc. Compared to the 185/70-15's that came off the car it was a major difference. Particulary under more agressive lane changes.

When you lower the car the 7 x 15's fill out the rear flare, combined with the bigger tire from stock. The car is lowered because of the lower profile of the tire so you need to check your alignment. Another benefit is the circumference of the 225/50 is less than the 185/70 which helps acceleration. These wheels are a great thing to do if you drive you early 911 and have fun with it.

Price is $3000 plus shipping. No tires, they are worn out...
