    FS: Rare Early Speedster One-Piece Rear Over-rider

    We were rummaging around in storage and found this Speedster rear over-rider bar, wrapped as shown in the photos, and I am posting it for my friend. We cleaned it up a bit, and while it is difficult to photograph chrome, we have attempted to show the chrome imperfections as honestly as possible, so please look carefully at the photos. Beautiful, but not perfect.

    I drive and enjoy my cars. I don't claim knowledge of 'show quality,' but the bar is not bent/deflected and the chrome is bright. Personally, I would be proud to have it on my 56-57 Speedster, as is, but you should judge for yourself.

    The bar is rare enough that we can't find any price references. Therefore, the asking price is $1,000,plus shipping. If you wish to pay with paypal, please add paypal fees, as well.

    Further information from the Registry indicates that this rear over-rider is correct for '56-'57, and not '55. Additional research resulted from other input indicates that the over-rider was a 356A feature (56-57), and the single rear over-rider was replaced with double rear over-riders, due to the license plate lighting and visibility. I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.
