    Restoring 1967 911

I'm preparing me 911 for body and paint work. I need to split the front fender from the body so I can replace the old bead between the two. I believe I have removed all the bolts but I can't get the front fender to break apart from body. I have removed bolts on the upper fender from the front luggage area, 2 accessed with door open and 3 from the wheel well. Is it possible the sealant applied between fender /body is very hard and keeping the 2 from splitting apart? Am I missing something? Hopefully the attached pictures might help.

You mentioned 3 bolts on the wheel well, but there should be 6.

You are also missing the furthest front one in the trunk, under the latch panel.

    1. One behind the horn grill
    2. The 6 or so on the vertical portion of the fender, accessed via the wheel well
    3. The one I mentioned in the very front of the trunk

If it hasn't been removed from the body since new, then there is a butyl between the fender and the tub that has turned into concrete. It took some serious persuasion to remove my passenger fender from my '66 even after all the bolts were removed. I would even argue that I could have driven the car for another 50+ years with no bolts in place. That's how hard the material was. Be careful not to twist the fender out of whack when you take it off.

I assume you have disconnected the "J" tube beneath the headlight bucket? And pulled the wires out?
