    early early early 911....

What ever happened to that early early 911? The red one with the chrome wheels from Wisconsin. I saw it at Road America. The journalist in me is interested in the story....

Kris - If you want to get together I should be in Minn early Sept. MNC&C or I'll be at the VSCDA on Sept 16 chatting with Vic Elford.

Had a great time visiting with Jay at the Porsche park at RA. Very friendly and open guy, ready and willing to talk about 300005. I'm doing a short article on the car for our club newsletter (yeah, just amateur journalism here) He's got a huge photo album with some incredible materials on the car's history. It's fascinating! The coolest part was, I pinged Jay's thread before The Hawk, and out of the blue Jay contacted me and offered to drive up with us to Road America on the back roads of Wisconsin. Our schedules didn't mesh, but the gesture was incredible. Just for the record, those are my knees. [AName: P1000850 - Copy.jpg

    Who's the rabbi?

That'd be my older brother, Fr. John. He's not a Rabbi, but rather a Greek Orthodox priest (and an air-cooled 911 owner.)

    Awesome.

Not the ideal attire for WI humidity but I understand; gotta wear the uniform.

Jay's story is classic. Looking forward to seeing that car restored one day. Until then... just a regular enthusiast driving and enjoying his old 911.
