What the heck does this clip on the oil tank do?

Illustration 1/6 of the Parts Manual shows a weld nut located on the oil tank, which uses a 6 x 15mm bolt, a flat washer, and a piece of rubber (901.501.909.20) to attach to the oil tank (shown in the illustration as #s 39, 49, and 50).

What the hell does it do?

    Scholars, please share your wisdom.

The 6mm bolt goes through the washer and 5mm rubber block...and the attachment hole of a clamp/bracket that attaches to the rear tubular fender brace.

i have looked on the car, and have checked the parts manual, but it's difficult to envision how this sub-assembly connects to the tubular rear bumper brace.

    any chance of a photo?
