    Grille Driving lights '71S

Helping a friend sort out his through-the-grille driving lights on a '71S coupe. They have been disconnected for years. The two leads are just coiled up next to the battery. Can someone point me to the correct way of wiring them? There's no dedicated dash switch inside, so do they just get wired into the headlights and come on at the same time? How does that affect the hi/low beam switch on the turn signal? He's switching over to Euro style Bosch H4's (no more sugar scoops) so we'll be installing a headlight relay to take the load. Any help appreciated.

That switch operates the fogs, which I'm 99% sure is correct.

Fog lights are wired into a separate switch on the dashboard. Driving lights do not have a separate switch. They are supposed to turn on when you switch to hi beams with the turn signal stalk. At least that's the conventional set up in Europe.

Please do a search for "grille lights." You'll find all the information you need.

Thanks for the search tip. No offense to the mods, but I have a hard time getting specific search results here. Maybe its my technique? Is there a way to search the forum using Google, sort of like this one for Pelican? https://cse.google.com/cse/publicurl...01:ojolaky8hjg

Searching is always my first step here, and this will help enormously. Thanks again Peter.

My understanding is there were two types of TTG's, fog and driving. Fog lights have a switch on the dash, but driving lights do not. The driving lights switch on with the high beams. I went through this same confusion because my Euro '70T came with TTG lights but there was no dash switch, so I initially thought they were added on later.

The driving TTG's are option code 432 and are called (at least on my car's COA) "Quartz-iodine long range lamps, white. Above bumper."

Thanks for sharing that Noah. I'll need to figure out where the wires go next.
