I came across an absolute pristine RSR tool kit yesterday, what is the going price these days? Pics not available yet.

Just curious what makes a tool kit an "RSR" one?

...in some cases the RSR "toolkit" was Mercedes shaped, contained the car and also had room for some team personnel and a case or two of Martini apparently

No mention of a RSR toolkit in the February 1973 M491 2.8 spare parts list nor in 911744 order procedure and specification for M491 conversion order that I can see.

Interesting that it is thought there is an RSR version.

    Good question Haasman,
I thinks it is to accomodate the 3 ft Power Bar to undo the hubs.
This bar was also used to hold the hood up as well because as we all know the RSR was all about saving weight.

The shiny ball is actually the end of the chrome bar (mentioned above) that can be seen hanging down from the tool.
