FS: 380mm OEM VDM Thick Grip "RS" "RSR" Steering Wheel Original Paint

    Better steering folks,

Here is a "flat hub" (911) 380mm OEM steering wheel with special thick grip from my secret source in the south. As authentic RSR OEM, cross stitching on wheel and baseball stitch on short spoke pieces. Part number 914 347 805 10. Date code is 6/70. Too good to repaint, this steering wheel has all original paint so some "patina," e.g. a few very small chips or marks; please see photos. Price is $965. Shipping in U.S. is $50; international shipping is $100. PayPal users please pay all fees (gift). Please email any and all questions. Thanks for looking.

I am looking for a 'smaller diameter' thicker factory wheel on my 70-S (will of course keep the original), and admit to not understanding many of these offerings, i.e. the text begins by saying it is a 911 wheel, yet a 914 PN. Were RSR (911) wheels in fact a 914 PN? These offerings always accompany a steep price, so I don't want to make a costly purchase on something that is not right....would appreciate someone a primer on this topic. Thank you. P.S. If someone also cares to help me understand the whole hockey puck thing I'd welcome that too, i.e. what year/years were they used, and are there only certain later 911 wheels that they are compatible with?

    Allen,

Wheel got delivered today; looks great mate and thanks for the careful packaging!
I love the fact the paint is not 100% perfect; its exactly the look I'm after for my RSR tribute whilst the leather & grip are pristine.
